Weapons Reduction for Development and Peace (WDP) Project: JSAC's main project. It encourages civilians to surrender their weapons voluntarily, and delivers development sub-projects to communities which have surrendered all weapons. |
Safe Storage and Registration Project: This project supports the Ministry of Interior in improving their stockpiling and management system of weapons, and therefore prevents the illegal outflow of such legal weapons. |
Weapons Destruction Project: This project destroys weapons collected through the WDP Project and any surplus weapons possessed by the Government at Weapons Destruction Ceremonies. It prevents further circulation of such weapons, and also demonstrates the society's progress in peace-building to the residents. |
Public Awareness Project: This project aims to raise awareness among civilians and civil servants on small arms issues and to promote a "culture of peace". |
National Commission Project: This project supports the National Commission for the Reform of Weapons, Explosives and Ammunition Management. |
Target Area Phase 1¡§ Otdar Mean Chey Province, Banteay Mean Chey Province, Siem Reap Province Phase 2: Battambang Province, Kampong Thom Province |
